Referral Program and Contests

Refer others to me2oh.com and win Linden Dollars! The more people you refer, the greater your chance of winning a prize! The process is simple. Just follow the steps below to get started.

The details of the next referral contest are forthcoming and we expect to have them posted on this page within the next few days.

1. Register for your free membership (note that you must be a Second Life resident in order to sign up at me2oh.com).
2. Verify your email address. (You'll get an email after you sign up. Just click the link in the email message.)
3. Verify ownership of your Second Life avatar.
4. Create your member profile.
5. Refer other Second Life residents to your special referrals page.
6. Get a chance to win a Linden Dollars prize for each person you refer who
   1. verifies their avatar and
   2. uploads an account picture

Two Ways to Refer Others

To receive credit for the people you refer to me2oh.com, simply do one of the following two things.

• Refer people to your profile page at me2oh.com (see below). You can copy and paste the link to your profile page into a forum or other Web site, and it's always a good idea to add it as the first line of your in-world profile for your Second Life avatar so that others can see it, copy it, and load it into their Web browsers. When someone visits your profile page and signs up for their own account within 48-hours, you will receive credit for referring them.
• Use your unique referral link (see below). Your referral link will automatically take whomever visits it to the me2oh.com registration page and you will receive credit for referring them if they register within 48-hours. Your referral link is useful for things like a banner ad or graphic on your personal Web site or for other times where you might not want to direct someone to your profile page and only want to send them right to the registration page while still receiving credit for referring them to us.

1. In order to receive credit for referring a new member, that member must create their account between the two dates listed at the top of this page ("start date" and "end date"). This is called the "Contest Period".
2. All prize payments will be made in Linden Dollars. Your avatar will receive payment in Second Life.
3. A winner will be chosen randomly to receive each prize. If multiple prizes are listed above, there will be a drawing for each prize listed.
4. Those who receive credit for referring at least one other member will be entered into the prize drawing. Each referral that qualifies will be equal to one (1) chance to win the prize. (more referrals = a greater chance to win)
5. Members may not win more than one prize per week. The winner of each prize drawing will be removed from other drawings for the same week.
6. Prize drawings will be held within 2 days of the end of the Contest Period.
7. Cash prizes will be paid in Linden Dollars directly to the winner's avatar in Second Life on the same day that the prize drawing is held.
8. You will not receive credit for any accounts that you create at me2oh.com. This includes any alternate avatars that you own. You will only receive credit for new accounts registered at me2oh.com by other people.
9. In the event that someone you refer creates multiple accounts at me2oh.com, you will receive credit only for the first account that they create. Additional accounts created by the same person will not be eligible.
10. In order to receive credit for a referral, new accounts created at me2oh.com must be both (1) verified and (2) have a profile/account picture uploaded within 24-hours of being created. Encourage your friends to verify and create their profiles right after they sign up so that you receive credit for them.
11. The person who visits your profile page or referral link must have their Web browser set to accept cookies from the Web sites that they visit. This is how we track who referred them. A cookie is stored in their browser and it tells our Web site that you referred them to us. They must also sign up using the same browser in which this cookie is stored, so, for example, if they visit your profile or referral link using the Firefox browser and return later using the Safari browser, they will need to visit your profile page or referral link again in order for you to receive credit for their referral. 12. Any attempts to defraud this system will invalidate all referrals for the member account in question and this member may be banned from future prize drawings.
