As part of the new Display Names feature, Linden Lab has changed the format of every avatar's username. Prior to this month, new Second Life residents would be asked to supply a first name and pick from a list of available last names. Their avatar name was this combined first and last name.

Version 2.2 of Linden Lab's official viewer for Second Life is now available. This version of the viewer has been available for beta testing since late last month and is the first major release of the viewer using the Snowstorm process.
